Ottman Said is a visual artist who creates drawings, collages and sculptures, with his own distinct use of line. His recent works are inspired by Liverpool’s iconic waterfront.
Said has been making and sharing creative work at the Bluecoat as part of Blue Room since 2008. Since 2021, he has also been part of the Studio Me project which aims to support learning disabled artists to develop their creative practice and navigate barriers to professional development. Through this he received mentoring from artist Bernadette O’Toole to develop his large-scale painting practice.
In March 2024 he was commissioned by the Bluecoat to share ‘Liverpool Waterfront’ as an outdoor billboard on the exterior of Bluecoat, enjoyed by passersby on Blundell Lane.
