In 2022, a group of young people, through the Kinship Carers Charity in Liverpool, met weekly to participate in workshops with dance artist Paula Hampson. Together they explored the lives and experiences of the children who once attended the Blue Coat Charity School when Liverpool was at its height as a global port city.
The young people engaged creatively with archive material, to interpret and share their ideas through movement, visual art, and creative writing to reimagine the lost stories and unheard voices of the past. These workshops culminated in a special movement performance at the Bluecoat with artist Paula Hampson.
