Blue Room artists collaborated with Doors to Elsewhere, an integrated drama group based at the Rua/Red Centre in Tallaght, Dublin. The project began as long distance creative exchange between the two groups, which led to five Blue Room artists travelling to Dublin to develop a participatory arts dinner party involving video, performance, visual arts and food. The event aimed to share the practice of learning disabled artists and discuss some of the barriers to autonomy within the arts. The event was part of the Culture Connects Programme marking Ireland’s EU presidency.
