Stairs to Bluecoat Concert Hall

1950

This interior architectural detail shows the concrete stairs, rebuilt in the post-war reconstruction, leading from the gallery's 'top' space (it was at the top of a small ramp and was the last gallery that visitors encountered), to the old Concert Hall upstairs. The architecture here was demolished to make way for the new wing, and is now occupied by the entrance to the gallery and the Vide.
