Sandon Sound LP
1965
This LP was compiled by Sandon member and architect tenant at Bluecoat, George Hall on his reel-to-reel tape recorder. One side comprises compositions by three members of the Sandon music group, Douglas Miller, Eldon Walker and Thomas Wess. The other side is a miscellany of sound, recorded at a Sandon cabaret and in the dining room, as well as extracts from an interview with sculptor Herbert Tyson Smith, talking about his long association with the Sandon and Bluecoat. The LP cover, by Edgar Grosvenor, is a caricature, of some of the music group composers, and of Roderick Bisson, who appears as a monkey.
