For Bluecoat's Beefheart Weekend in 2017, curator Kyle Percy and the arts centre commissioned artist Alan Dunn to 'recreate' the musician's celebrated 1968 performance on the beach at Cannes. Dunn worked in collaboration with The Probes and Edgar Jones (music), Imogen Ettridge (costumes) and Tim Brunsden (video) to create and document a new performance, this time by the beach at New Brighton on the Wirral, against the backdrop of the River Mersey and Liverpool. The song is popular early Beefheart number 'Electricity'.
