Over 30 artists exhibited in this selling show heralding the start of the year marking 25 years of the gallery in its (then) current configuration and the formal establishment of Bluecoat Gallery with a full-time director in 1968, although exhibitions had been held in various rooms at Bluecoat since 1908.

The exhibition was accompanied by a documentary display charting a quarter-century history of exhibitions and the launch of a Bluecoat calendar for 1993.
