We are delighted to announce that the Bluecoat will join a cohort of 200 non-profit cultural organisations from across the US and UK to improve essential digital infrastructure. This initiative helps cultural organisations to strengthen their technology and management practices to improve operations, drive revenue, increase fundraising, engage broader audiences, and deliver dynamic programming.

“The Bluecoat’s core mission is to ensure people from different communities and backgrounds enjoy our building and experience the benefits of creativity. The Bloomberg Philanthropies Digital Accelerator Programme will enable us to improve our digital infrastructure and operations, allowing us to better understand our audiences, reach new ones, and streamline our services eliminating barriers to access. It will also give us the opportunity to drive revenue, increase fundraising, and focus on delivering more meaningful art experiences to the people of Liverpool and beyond.”
Mary Cloake, Chief Executive of the Bluecoat

Over the past three years, the Digital Accelerator Programme has been a catalyst for strengthening nearly 150 cultural organisations across the US and UK. To date, the 40 institutions that were part of the first cohort cumulatively grew an additional $20 million in new revenue including through fundraising, reached over 1 million new audience members, and engaged more than 4,000 new artists and partners.

The Bluecoat is one of 200 non-profit cultural organisations accepted into Bloomberg Philanthropies’ new Digital Accelerator Programme cohort, spanning artistic disciplines and organisation size in 52 US cities and 28 UK cities.
